Area Agency on Aging (Access and Assistance Program) - 817-258-8081 - Short term assistance for caregivers or patients needing assistance with personal care, home maker services, and respite care. No income guidelines. There are at times a short waiting lists. (website)

DADS (Department of Aging and Disability Services) - 817-321-8154 - Variety of programs for in home care which include personal and home maker services. There are income guidelines for these programs and waiting lists at times. (website)

Meals on Wheels - 817-336-0912 - Assist individuals who live alone with home delivered meals at a low cost. (website)

Tarrant County Department of Human Services - 817-531-5620 - Limited financial assistance to individuals dealing with a crisis event such as a change in health condition, employment status, or an emergency that was unexpected. (website)

Department of Family and Protective Services - 1-800-252-5400 - Where to report abuse of an elderly individual or one who is disabled. (website)

MITS - 817-332-4444 - Transportation for disabled individuals who qualify and meet the ADA Paratransit eligibility criteria. (website)
